We asked Dempster Plumbing to come and install some new thermostatic shower valves. They were able to swing by the same day to give us an estimate that was within the ballpack of what we were expecting. The next day, they installed the valves. They brought in someone great to patch up the drywall, even matching the texturing. The house we bought apparently had a crummy tile job and one of the tiles popped out while they were installing the valves. Dempster called in someone that specializes in tiles to patch up the tile and grout. The did an excellent, professional job in a short amount of time on budget. I was very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend Dempster Plubing to a friend or colleague in need. Thanks guys, I really appreciate the great job.
I am a contractor and I have been working with Dempster Plumbing now for quite a few years and have to say it is always a pleasure to work with them. Bill is easy going and gets the job done. He works quickly and efficiently. Valerie (the office mgr), I have dealt with many times and she too is very easy to work with and cares for the job at hand whatever it may be. She has always been great at following up with customers and ensures they are happy with the service everytime! I am glad to work with a company who believes and practices team work and customer service!
Dempster did a great job on my repipe. The crew was courteous and on time. The work was solid, and the installers were flexible with regard to tailoring the installation of fixtures and hardware to my preferences. They seemed to take pride in their work, and I did not get the sense that their only goal was to finish as quickly as possible. They were genuinely interested in making sure that I was satisfied with the finished product. As others have mentioned, Valerie in the office was also very helpful. Recommended.

Bill just completed a repiping job for me and the reviews are true! I completed a major renovation in 2003 on our house built in 1906. The house has some lath and plaster walls and in that renovation we were never immune from dust. On day one, Bill came in and entered walls to repipe to the shower faucets, when we arrived that evening the house was immaculate. If you care about clean, Bill is amazing. His son really does help and others who were part of the project were soft spoken professionals who approached their work like watchmakers - it's obvious that they are serious tradesman in the same class as plumbers I've brought in from the two top plumbing companies that serve Palo Alto. Bill did the work for a fixed price but when he ran into the gotchas that come with a 100 year house, he fixed it and didn't charge - I am not sure Bill wants that public but it was a breath of fresh air, it seemed as if he was working on his own house. The drywall tape and plaster (not sure what they call this step) was done by a subcontractor and he was professional, punctual and spotless as well - the guy should do museum restoration - I know that sounds like I am gushing but I am so happy to finally find a good plumber. I called Dempster Plumbing after reading the other reviews here on Yelp. Not only did Bill (the owner) answer when I called at 9:15 in the morning, he was here in 45 minutes - exactly when he said he would be here. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it in an hour. AMAZING! I've never had this kind of professional response from a plumber before. Typically, I get voice mail, no call back, a time range when they'll show up that's always wrong, and a couple hours more to fix the problem than estimated. Not only do I recommend Dempster plumbing, I put them in my speed dial.
They did copper re-pipe for me. Everything completed in 3 days with excellent quality. The owner Bill is nice to work with too.
I recently hired Bill and his team to replace (including subfloor) a circa 1947 bathroom. From strart to finish, Dempster Plumbing was beyond the call of duty. Every member of his team communicated regularly, offered suggestions, consulted my wife and I on what WE wanted. Bill oversaw the project on a daily basis, coming to my home several times a day to ensure we were happy and the job progressed as planned. Bill also offered his own handy work on several occasions to ensure the job was done per design. I have worked with countless contractors and Bill is the first that I would recommend in this manner. He and his business are top notch and a pleasure to work with. The end result is a bathroom that maximizes an otherwise very small space(his design) and looks amazing. This project was complete from start to finish in under two weeks, under budget, and better than we expected. Bill Dempster and Dempster Plumbing are awesome!
WOW, I am really impressed! For the first time in many years I am able to fill my pool and run my dishwasher or shower at the same time. Dempster plumbing did a full copper repipe of my home and it made all the difference. There were many holes cut into the walls and all the work I witnessed in the walls of my home was really well done and professional. The holes in the walls were repaired and finished ready to paint. All in all in was an excellent job and well worth the $10,300. I only wish I had done it sooner. Thank you Bill Dempster and crew.
We used Dempster Plumbing several times before moving to NY. They were always fast and efficient and did not overcharge. I wish they were here in NY.
Bill is the guy I want when doing a plumbing job. He has done multiple jobs at my house. He is punctual and efficient. Work gets done when he says its going to be done and its done properly. That is all I can say about Dempster plumbing.

Summary: On time, on budget, great quality, and flexible along the way. I had a very good experience with Dempster Plumbing in a recent repipe/remodel. They started the project when we agreed. They gave me regular updates on the progress. And they finished according to schedule. When surprises happened, they were ready with suggestions. I will be using them again for sure on more remodel work.
My water heater recently started leaking, and after contacting my home warranty company and having a bad experience with the plumbers they referred, I decided to contact Bill, who I found through yelp. Since he had the highest reviews, I decided to give him a call about replacing my water heater. I found that he was very knowledgeable and thorough about my inquiries about a tankless vs. tank water heater. I ended up going with a standard, tank water heater which he installed at a very competitive rate. Him and his crew did a very thorough, clean job. I had no problems with setting up an appointment with him or getting my questions answered. He was always very quick in responding to both emails and phone calls. I would highly recommend Bill for his exemplary customer service attitude, knowledge, and his ability to get things fixed quickly.
When we called Bill about a leaky valve, he talked us through some quick fixes to try in order to avoid having to pay for a plumber. Once we determined he needed to take a look, he was here in half an hour and had the work done in no time.
