Contacted Bill based on previous YELP reviews and he gave me a quote over the phone. He showed up on time the next morning and after reviewing the job reduced his quote since it was easier than he had expected. Bill was very efficient and professional and completed the job on the first appointment. I would definately use him again.
I wanted to take this opportunity to share my recent experience hiring Dempster Plumbing. As most people have experienced, hiring any kind of contractor of any kind can be a hit or miss process. I had Dempster Plumbing do a full home copper re-pipe from the curb and install a tankless water heater. I can't say enough good things about Bill and his crew. Bill and his crew were very professional, promptly arriving each morning and kept me updated on the progress of the job. I had complete running water in the evening and it was as if they weren't there because of how they kept everything so clean. It was great discussing the project with Bill because he was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about everything, you can definitely tell that he loves what he does. I would highly recommend Dempter Plumbing to anyone that I know and I plan to ask him to come back in the next few years to replace our sewer system. Thank you, Dempster Plumbing.
Bill is an excellent plumber. I've used him twice at my home. He shows up on time, does the work, solves the problems, gives good advice, charges a reasonable fee. He communicates well, cleans up any mess. He's fast - no bullshit, no wasted time, no chitchat. He's a nice guy too. If you want a plumber - you want Bill.
Good plumbers you can trust - like good car mechanics - can be very hard to come by. Bill is one such plumber. I recently had Bill repipe my house to the curb, and he's been a professional from day one, from the beginning in giving me an estimate and doing everything in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner. If you are looking for someone to repipe your house, I don't think you will be able to find anyone better. He does quality work for a fair price. He did not increase my price despite doing a few "extras" for me - although my understanding is that if I had asked for more, I'd have to pay more (that's fair, I think). By the way, if he ever complains "you are killing me," that's just his way of telling you he gave you a great deal. Don't be bothered by it: he will take good care of you.
I recently needed to replace my water heater, and with Thanksgiving only a couple days away I needed to do it FAST. After calling around to several places for blind quotes, I spoke with Bill Dempster at Dempster plumbing. He quoted a good price, without monkeying around at all. I was still hoping to find a better price, so I made more calls and even had one person come by to do an in person, formal quote. Not only was it more, it was almost two and a half times more. And it was all add-ons like "new flexline", "new TMP", "new ball valve", etc. When I told him about the better quote he assured me that there was no way it would hold up once the plumber showed up and saw my setup. Long story short, I nervously called Dempster back to see if I should expect add'l costs and was assured that I had nothing to worry about. When the guys showed up I was pleasantly surprised to see that EVERYTHING the other plumber suggested would be extra ... was included. They also did a great job positioning the unit better than it had been, and cleaned up quickly. All in all a fantastic experience.
Dempster really helped me out of a bad issue with a leaking gas line. Bill's guys came out within two days, repaired the line, repaired the walls & cleaned up all the mess. His price was very reasonable and the work very professional. Would use Dempster again and would recommend his work! Kathy W.
I know what a bathroom remodel can involve because we had our front bathroom remodeled 3 yrs ago. The "handyman" we hired showed up at 9 and decided to end his day at 2. It took over 3 weeks. Not so with Bill Dempter's guys. They were consistently there at 9 and worked till 5. One night they left at 9:30 pm to finish the tile work! And his drywall guy returned on a Saturday to finish. From demo to completion it took SIX DAYS!!! Not to mention, Bills quote was the lowest. Special kudos to Sam the tile guy and Bill's brother, Val. They are very hard working and I actually enjoyed their company! Go to Dempster Plumbing for your next project!
We had our copper repipe done through Dempster Plumbing. Very perfessional business. I had a few qoutes on pricing and these guy's topped the best pricing by far. Would highly recommend.
I had a major plumbing issue. Dempster offered an free estimate in a timely Manner. Valaree was very helpful at getting all my questions answered. All of my service was done is a timely and quality manner at reasonable cost.
Our house is rather old, from the 1920s era. We had to get several different quotes and discussed how they would go about fixing the problems at hand. One guy wanted to cut through the sheet rock and fully patch it up the area. There was a toilet and sink not running. The tub had an everlasting leak. In the long run, Bill and Nolan were the ones who were most reliable and skilled. We asked to try to keep the bathroom tub handles as original as possible. Bill went out of his way to get the dual handles and spout in Santa Clara and drove back to San Jose. What a guy! And above all, he is a down to earth kind of person. I really appreciated his honesty. He was not pushy, and gave you the run down on things. If anything, he gave you several options, whether or not I could patch something or replace it entirely. I am honestly surprised he does not have more yelps. Be assured, we will be recommending him to our friends and using him again soon.
The father answered my call on Sunday, no extra charge, came right over, earlier than he said. Did the job faster than he said. All around, an excellent, reliable plumber, I recommend him 100%.
Wow! What amazing service from Bill. We were having issues with our plumbing at our house which is in the process of being remodeled. We called Bill after reading the other fellow Yelp reviews and he was there within the hour to check it out. After a few minutes he realized that we had some of the parts needed to fix the problem just lying around. So he quickly put it all together and made everything work in a matter of minutes! It was incredible. We are super appreciative of Bill's help and from now on, Dempster Plumbing will be at the top of our list whenever we need plumbing services. Thanks again!
I found Dempster Plumbing on Yelp, and hoped they would live up to their high rating. I called them today to work on a clog that affected two bathroom sinks. Unfortunately, the drain pipes going into the wall were extremely difficult to access due to the way the house was built. The drain snake just went in one drain pipe and came out the other sink's drain pipe, instead of going down into the four inch pipe where the clog was. There is no vent on the roof or clean-out port. The plumber suggested cutting one pipe and building a new, standard trap for easy cleaning in the future. I agreed, and with only two hours labor and some inexpensive parts, he had cleared my clog and built me a new trap that I can clean myself, or remove to use a snake if necessary. The work was high quality and the price was right. Great plumber worth their high rating.
