A big thanks to Yelp for helping me find this gem of a place. I had some significant water pressure issue for months that was affecting the garden, the showers and laundry. I called Dempster and set up an appointment. Bill came in, about 10 minutes early. Very friendly, no-nonsense approach. His first hunch about a pressure regulator was dead-on. He was done with his adjustments in 10 minutes, and accepted a token "lunch money" for coming in. Thanks Bill! I would recommend Dempster Plumbing unequivocally. Any plumbing work in the future, I know who I am going to call!
I found Bill Dempster here on Yelp, after getting what I thought was an exorbitant quote for drainpipe repair from Go Go Rooter. Turns out I was right. You can see my review of them for the details. I wouldn't call them for plumbing, though. Call Bill instead.
Bill is top-notch! We had him do some gas line work and re-pipe a portion of the house that still had old galvanized supply lines. Bill and his crew did a high-quality job, fully explained what the problems were and what was going to be done to fix it. The fee was fair and the work was done quickly. Without a doubt, I'm calling Bill the next time I need plumbing work done!
Bill Dempster saved me from having to deal with a previously botched job by another so-called plumber who clearly didn't know what he was doing. As a single mother with few resources, I felt helpless. I was left with leaks in both bathroom and kitchen after the first plumber left. Bill not only fixed all the problems, at a very reasonable rate, he also went a little extra and found a way to lift my stove to fit my counter height. I just wish I had called Dempster in the first place! Don't mess around with other plumbers! We should consider ourselves lucky to have him in the neighborhood.
Found Dempster Plumbing here on Yelp - I needed a sink re-plumbed as a friend had done it for me and it had issues. 5 star ratings are reassuring. Bill called to say he'd be earlier than planned as his pior appointment had wrapped up ahead of time. He and his assistant were in and out inside an hour and a half. The plumbing is tidy, clean, and most important - it doesn't leak. Plus his rates are very reasonable.
I have been having problems with my sewer systems under the kitchen sink and I have contacted several big name companies, but the problems recur just right after the warranty expires. Since Bill diagnosed and repaired the problems, it's almost a year now and my sewer systems are working just great! He even replaced the other piping that were showing some wear at no extra charge. I highly recommend his expertise.
I had a slab leak, and called a few places for quotes as well as recommendations on how to fix the problem. After talking to a few plumbers, Dempster came up with the best solution which was a partial repipe and reroute. This saved me a ton of money, since all the other guys said I needed to do a full repipe. Bill, is a pleasure to work with, and is very quick to respond to any issues. He prides himself on doing things right. They did the job quick, and for a very reasonable price. I would have given them a full 5 stars, but ran into a few minor things, which in the end BIll resolved, but because I had to take a few extra hours off work, I had to take 1 star away. I'd recommend them.
Our house is rather old, from the 1920s era. We had to get several different quotes and discussed how they would go about fixing the problems at hand. One guy wanted to cut through the sheet rock and fully patch it up the area. There was a toilet and sink not running. The tub had an everlasting leak. In the long run, Bill and Nolan were the ones who were most reliable and skilled. We asked to try to keep the bathroom tub handles as original as possible. Bill went out of his way to get the dual handles and spout in Santa Clara and drove back to San Jose. What a guy! And above all, he is a down to earth kind of person. I really appreciated his honesty. He was not pushy, and gave you the run down on things. If anything, he gave you several options, whether or not I could patch something or replace it entirely. I am honestly surprised he does not have more yelps. Be assured, we will be recommending him to our friends and using him again soon.
Bill, his son and the crew were awesome. Even though I was late meeting them at my new house, they were kind, professional, courteous and very knowledgeable! I was highly impressed how they cleaned up without a trace. I highly recommend these guys and will continue to use their services in the future.
January 2011 Got a written estimate yeah! It was nicely written and dropped off at our door. Now to proceed. Bill is great in person communicator and educator. I hope to give him 5 stars after we finish doing work with him. August 2009 He came he saw he quoted he was reliable. Thank God! Valerie at his office was wonderful - conscientious and sensitive to my plight!! He said because I had not purchased the home he would not give me a receipt to change out some things but to call him later.
They did copper re-pipe for me. Everything completed in 3 days with excellent quality. The owner Bill is nice to work with too.
March 2012 update: I called them back when my main drain line clogged up and I couldn't clear it. We discovered my clean out valve was in the crawl space under the house, in a location that was totally unaccessible for clearing the clog. For a great price, Dempster added an extension to the clean out valve to the outside of my house, then cleared the clog. If I get another clog, it will be easy to clear using the new valve.
Bill and the whole crew rock. Within 2 weeks the came, remodeled two bathrooms, and left the place spotless. Attention to detail was great, and the finish was excellent. Job well done guys, I'd recommend these guys if you are needing plumbing work and more. Mick
Fine job for a fair price and fast service. One bathroom house. Replaced everything but the sheet rock. Would recommend them and use them again.
Quick, accurate, reliable, and affordable plumbing work. Even when it seems like something might be more complex than originally thought, if not almost practically impossible...well, as they say, "when they going gets tough, the tough get going"--the work gets done, pretty much whatever it takes.
